GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Located in the beautiful and unspoilt Northern Spanish coastal region of Asturias, this privately owned villa is available for rent all year round. La Llosica is a traditional 'panera' or granary that has been converted into a charming holiday home. It is surrounded by a large and well cared for garden with a number of fruit trees. The total property area is about 3,700sq metres (just under an acre). La Llosica is located 10 minutes away from the town of Gijon, a very popular summer resort with plenty of restaurants, shops, museums and a busy nightlife. There are numerous beaches only a 10 or 15 minute drive away, ranging from unspoilt sandy coves to the two large, popular beaches in downtown Gijon. The house is ideally located to explore beautiful Asturias and enjoy the numerous attractions it offers such as trekking in the stunning Picos de Europa, sailing in the Cantabrian sea, sampling the excellent seafood and local cider in one of the many small fishing villages, exploring pre-roman architecture in the elegant town of Oviedo or just enjoying the sun and relaxing. The property is situated next to the beautiful 18-hole golf course of Castiello, where non-members are welcome.
ACCOMMODATION
Arranged over two floors. The ground floor has a large covered porch with comfortable sitting and 'al fresco' dining areas for 6 or 8 people. Inside there is a small but well equipped kitchen and a cosy sitting /dining room. The main shower and WC room is on this floor. The first floor is accessed through the external staircase that leads on to a large sunny terrace with two loungers. There are two bedrooms separated by an entrance hall, all of them beautifully wood panelled. The main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has twin beds (that can be stored one underneath the other). A cot can be provided if needed.
There is a laundry and utility room located in a separate building, 30 meters away from the main house. This building also has an additional shower and WC.
Fresh bed linen and towels are provided.

The house is managed by an agent based in Gijon who will take you to the property and who will be your local contact should you require any assistance with the house.
GETTING THERE
La Llosica is a 30 minute drive away from Asturias/Oviedo airport. Easyjet flies daily from London Stansted and Iberia and British Airways also have direct flights from Gatwick. There are also several daily flights via Madrid and Barcelona. The car-rental companies at the airport are Atesa, Avis, Europcar and Hertz. Alternatively there are regular buses to Gijon and of course plenty of taxis.
Alternatively you might wish to fly Ryanair to Santander (2 hour drive to Gijon) or to Santiago (4 hour drive to Gijon). Another option is to take the ferry from Plymouth to Santander.
